You May Not Agree About Jesus But You Can’t Ignore Him


 In the United States, it is hard to not see evidence about the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob.

While driving, it is not uncommon to see the motto “In God We Trust” mon license plates, and alongside many highways are monuments of three crosses reminding us that, at heart, this is a Christian nation.

The inscription “In God We Trust” is imprinted on all the coins and currency we handle every day.

By Congressional decree “In God We Trust” is written prominently in stone above the chair of the Speaker, and The House of Representatives affirmed this phrase legally in HR 112-47 as the official motto of the United States.

Buildings in our Nations’ Capitol as well as many others in around the country have ”Anno Domini” - Latin for ”In the year of our Lord.” - etched into their cornerstones.

On Inauguration Day the entire nation sees the President rest his hand on a Bible, and the Chaplin prays for blessing from Almighty God over the proceedings.

Lastly, we all enjoy – regardless of faith or creed – two official federal holidays each year; Thanksgiving which remembers the Christian settlers thanking God for his bounty and protection, and Christmas honoring the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Friend, this message is not meant to make you believe in God or the Bible. All are free to believe or not believe anything we want. From God’s perspective, that is what 'Free Will' is, but as today’s scripture reference says, the evidence of God around us is clear.

Honoring God - or Ignoring Him - is a personal choice, and that choice, as always,
Is Entirely Up To You.

The only letter that differentiates the words WORD and WORLD is the letter   “L” , so the question is what does the   “L”   stand for? And the answer is   LIE.   Ask most people and they would agree to believe that: Most people are good, not bad Good usually triumphs over evil Murder is wrong While perhaps there are many other things that we can agree on, one difficult event for most people to believe in or accept is that Jesus Christ conquered death and rose from the grave — and this is where Jesus’ question in today’s verse in John chapter eleven is a point of contention and controversy.
